Kovalchick Corp is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. We are looking for somebody with experience in industrial / manufacturing environment. Salary will depend on experience. In this role you will be the key part in the continued growth of a great safety culture, and look for opportunities to improve the well-being of our employees.

Responsibilities:
-Maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Provide training to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices
- Develop and deliver safety presentations to promote awareness and engagement
- Monitor workplace conditions to identify potential risks and recommend corrective measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop emergency response plans
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other EHS activities
- Prepare reports on EHS performance for management review
- Stay up-to-date with changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Experience in industrial and manufacturing settings
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and workers compensation laws
- Experience conducting root cause analysis for incidents or accidents
- Proficiency in report writing and record keeping
- First aid certification is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
